Flute vidwan H. Ramachandra Sastry was a disciple of Flute Palladam Sanjeeva Rao. He was a stickler for tradition and in the gurukalavasam teaching method. Among his disciples are Ludwig Pesch, Chingleput Ranaganathan, T.Sasidhar and GS Rajan

Ramachandra Sastry was born in 1906 and passed away in 1992 at age 86.

PerformanceS

Ramachandra Sastry was known to perform frequently at the Sengalipuram temple.

AWARDS AND HONOURS

He was awarded with the Kalaimamani title by the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Manram.
