174th Saint Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival celebrations.
We wish to inform you that our organisation proposes to celebrate the Saint Thyagaraja Aradhana Music festival next month.
We are proud to say that this will be our 41st year of celebrations. Such a successful achievement has been made possible only through the blessings of Lord Rama and with immense support and patronage of the Calicut public and music rasikas.
However, this year , with the surge in Covid pandemic cases and government’s imposition of many restrictions on conduct of public programmes, the committee has unanimously decided to conduct the music festival for just one day.
On March 3 rd Wednesday from 9.00 am onwards, coinciding with Pushya Bahula Panchami, only the religious rituals namely The Theertha Narayana pooja of Thyagaraja Swamigal followed by the rendition of Pancharathnam krithis, the Anjaneya Utsavam and finally the Mangalam will be held with minimum participation. The venue this time is Thali Brahmana Samooham.
Not to worry !!! The music concerts , music devotees programmes in connection with the festival will be held to a later date as soon as the covid situation improves.!!
We now seek your continued patronage, financial Support and cooperation in helping us conduct the festival in a befitting manner. As you, MUSIC RASIKAS , you are undoubtedly our pillars of strength. Without you, we would not be where we are today 🙏🙏🙏
